Consultancy/Training

I was retained by Abbott Laboratories as adviser to the Director of the UK Patient Care Division and continued to work with several other pharmaceutical companies for some years. My particular areas of expertise were the design and analysis of highly focused cost‑effective clinical trials and analysis of market patterns.

I worked with Dr Frada Eskin (Department of Community Medicine, University of Manchester) as a trainer and consultant on personally-based management courses for senior National Health Service personnel, and advised the NHS Training Authority on strategies for achieving attitude changes in doctors.

I have trained pharmaceutical company personnel in communications and sales skills with Metamorph Medical Training Services Ltd.

More recently, I undertook a training myself in Corporate and Executive Coaching with the Coaching Academy, since which I have coached a Director of an International business magazine, and have been involved in a project to increase the communications efficiency of Microsoft sales engineers. I was commissioned by the Commercial Department of the Department of Health to act as a coach and facilitator to help integrate a new Independent Treatment Centre into a large Trust in the south of England.

I now work with Oxford Medical as a trainer on Interview Skills and Management training courses for doctors.
